1. Clean out the gutters: It is very important to clean and unclog the gutters of your home. If you don't do so, it may lead to cracks in the foundation of your home. You can purchase a gutter guard for it or have a professional gutter cap installed. This will help you keep your gutters clean.

2. Check your roof: Roof is the most important part of your house. If your roof gets damaged, then water or snow may enter your house and damage your home further. So, it's important to keep your roof in a good shape.

3. Take care of exterior leaks: Extreme sunlight or water can be bad for the windows and doors of your home. Check them carefully in order to look for loose or missing caulk. Timely replacement of the caulk with a fresh seal can help you save quite a large sum of money.

4. Examine the foundation of your property: Any problem in the foundation of the property may cost you thousands of dollars. So, you should regularly survey the exterior base of your property and find out if there are any cracks in it.
